Scheme Overview
The Punjab Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana is a new health insurance scheme launched by the Punjab Government to provide free medical treatment to all residents of the state.
Under this scheme, every eligible family can get cashless treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh per year, without worrying about hospital bills.

Introduction: What is Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana?
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana on 8 July 2025.
The main aim of this scheme is to strengthen healthcare services in Punjab and ensure that no citizen is denied treatment due to lack of money.
This scheme is an upgraded version of the earlier Mukhyamantri Sehat Bima Yojana, where health cover was limited to ₹5 lakh. Now, the limit has been increased to ₹10 lakh, and coverage has been expanded to include all residents, without any income restriction.
Unlike previous health schemes, this one covers:
- Poor and rich families
- Government employees
- Pensioners
- Rural and urban residents
Health Card Under the Scheme
To avail benefits, the Punjab Government will issue a Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana Health Card (MMSY Card).
With this card, beneficiaries can get cashless treatment at government and empanelled private hospitals.
Registration for health cards will start from 2 October 2025.
Where and How to Register?
People can register for the scheme through:
- Common Service Centres (CSC)
- Sewa Kendras
- Panchayat offices
- Government & empanelled hospitals
- Online portal (to be announced)
Currently, detailed guidelines are not yet released, but the government will soon issue the official notification.

Eligibility Criteria
